I'm sure this topic has been beaten up before but is there any suggestions for fighting glare on the iFly 700. I have it mounted on the panel in my Ercoupe. Two things: I have a glare shield and I really can't afford a 720 at the moment.

Any suggestions?

Wear a black shirt.

I too have a 700 and haven't jumped up to a 720. Yes the glare does get in the way. I haven't found any solution either. I have mine mounted on the yoke of my 172M....

I guess the only way to do it is to get it out of the sun somehow but in my little Ercoupe that is kind of tough. I may have to beg my wife's forgiveness and invest in a 720 before it is all said and done. I currently have it mounted in a very convenient place on my panel right at eye scan level. Trying to put it in the shadows would spoil that.

Hey guys, this is no joke, but the glare on a 700 is worse when you wear a light-color shirt. Seriously, wearing a dark shirt really cuts down on the screen reflectivity and observed contrast. Try wearing a dark shrit - it works. If you have light colored upholstery, then maybe a mini-hood of some sort at the proper angle will cut down the reflected glare. ===Ralph
