I have been having trouble with my ifly700 locking up in flight. I just started having problem after I updated to version 7.

I flew for 3 hrs yesterday and it locked up about every 10 mins.

I flew 4 hrs today and unit locked up after 2 hrs of flying.

Jon, I don't have a solution for you but I was wondering if you have had any luck solving the problem?

Joe, Tom, and CW: Here is a post Brain at AP had made for the beta testers about reporting lock-ups/ freeze-ups. He wants to stamp out these bugs completely, so I am guessing he needs this information from you, too . . . ===Ralph

"If the iFly application ever freezes up on you, we would like to know about it, along with the following information:

1. What you were doing before it froze up.
2. Which Mode you were in (e.g. Vector, Sectionals, etc)
3. How long the device had been ON prior to the freeze up.
4. How long you have used the device total (estimate #Hours) without Lock-up.
5. Which device type you have -- 700 or 720.
6. Software version #. (e.g. 7.0.16b)
7. Anything else that comes to mind.

ALSO: If you have experienced any freeze-ups over the past few weeks, please report it here as well, even if you don't recall all of the information requested above. Just recall it as best as you can, and it will still be useful information for us.

As always, . . . Thank you for your time and efforts which are helping us to develop a higher quality product!

Although likely not related to the iFly software, I did have a lockup the other day.

1. What you were doing before it froze up.

Mindlessly playing solitare
2. Which Mode you were in (e.g. Vector, Sectionals, etc)

Freecell
3. How long the device had been ON prior to the freeze up.

Maybe 5-10 minutes, I think I fired it up, closed the iFly application, and was paging through the base OS to see if I noticed any changes from the new software. I think I was on the second game of Freecell.
4. How long you have used the device total (estimate #Hours) without Lock-up.

I don't think I've ever had the iFly lock up. Have used it for probably 30 hours or more.
5. Which device type you have -- 700 or 720.

700
6. Software version #. (e.g. 7.0.16b)

Not sure, but I JUST flashed the OS, and have the SD card that you sent because of another problem that occurred. This all happened about 1June.
7. Anything else that comes to mind.

I upgraded the application on my 720 to version 7.0.16 last night. Loaded a new version of Aviation Databases and Geographic databases. The application is painfully slow to come up, then gives me one situational snapshot and locks up. I went back to the web site and downloaded the same versions again today in hopes that maybe one of the files was corrupted. Now the application simply goes to a black screen and hangs there. This was an upgrade from beta V7.0.08 to the production V7.0.16 software.
