Had two 2+ hour flights this weekend running 6.5.10 with the SkyRadar disconnected. No problems whatsover. So the issue definately relates to the SkyRadar :-(

Alasdair,

Good news: Brian (our lead developer) found a possible cause of the SkyRadar lockups, he fixed this in the v7 beta codebase so will be released to our beta testers this week.

Thanks!
Walter

Thanks Walter - I am a beta tester so will test it out when available.

Since I'd given up on the SkyRadar temporarily I tested the first beta release with my EFIS conncted instead and as posted on the beta forum found I lost the NMEA output with 7.0.3 (guessing missing the CR/LF fix per 6.5.10). However for the next beta release I'll test both (one connected at a time) to check both the lock-up issue and the NMEA. (Or if it's already in 7.0.3b let me know and I'll unplug the EFIS and plug the Skyradar back in andtry it out this weekend).

Again many thanks to you and your team for a wonderful product and amazing support.

Regards,
Alasdair

P.S. I know (and fully understand) that v7 is your focus right now but if/when the SkyRadar lockup issue is fixed I'd still really like to see the TTL option (or a fix for the SkyRadar/NMEA output combo) back on the list to finally realize the true potenntial of the ifly and get both weather and my EFIS/Autopilot working together! Apologies for being greedy.
