Hello everyone - Just got my first iFly last week and absolutely love it. Am going to enjoy showing it off around the club. Thank you.

My first question here is probably a bit of an odd one for a GPS product: Can you turn the GPS off or remove the plane from the maps?

I'm training for my instrument rating at the moment and am wondering if you can see the approach plates or low en-route charts without the plane showing where you are.

With thanks, Ian

Hum...no, there isn't a specific feature to do this. However you could enter Simulation mode (Meny / About / GPS Information / Begin Simulation) - this would put your airplane in a fictional location and might do the trick for you.

That does indeed help Walter, thank you. Just need to send the plane in the opposite direction to where I'm practising to start with and let it go. I've got a custom setup of the flight instuments showing 'nothing' which clears the screen around the edges, so I just have the gray simulation panel in the background.
