I find the I OFTEN must press buttons or other icons on the iFly's screen multiple times before I get a response! It this normal or do I have a problem with my iFly?? It's VERY distracting while flying in busy situations.

It seems to be unrelated to the pressure with with I tap the screen with my finger tip.

Jim,

I concur with the suggestion to use a bit of the nail also. I just got my iFly on Tuesday and I noticed that right away, but every time I use just a bit of the nail, the touchscreen works just fine.

Thanks, using my nail definitely improves responses but I still get ignored occasionally.

I have very short fingernails, so I use a rubber tipped scribe to run my I Fly. It is the kind used for smart phones or Ipads and it works great for me, I keep it in a pin pocket on the side of my cockpit where it is very handy. One advantage of using the scribe is that you can see exactly where you are touching the screen instead of covering so much map with your finger tip. Works great for me.

I usually have a pen or pencil in my pocket when I'm flying, and I often use the pen barrel or pencil eraser as a stylus.
