Please forgive me if there is already a thread on this... I've been having a little trouble searching.

I'm a renter pilot, and I fly a C172SP. I've been trying to figure out the best place to mount my new iFly using the suction mount. Since this is a pretty common airplane, I thought I'd ask anyone in the forum who flies a similar plane where they have been mounting theirs. If there is no good place, I could look into a RAM yoke mount, but I'd rather not if I don't have to. Obviously I can't make any permanent alterations to the cockpit or panel.

I've used the same position, just in-front of the PIC door post. Works great. I've also even used in my 68 C-172 and stuck ii to the top of the windshield, with the visors forward, and the iFly just hung right below the headliner. This also worked great and it didn't block hardly any visibility. I actually left it there for a while and noticed that if it ever did release, my visor would catch the suction cup portion. It never released. Just a thought though. We are also working in a vendor for an elastic kneeboard as well.
