I'm planning a new panel for my RV-4. Will the 740 drive an autopilot? How about the future...is there a 740 replacement in the work?

The 740 drives my Trio Pro Pilot perfectly. Uses NMEA out with one wire from the 740 to the AP. Holds course within +- .01 mm and altitude within 20 feet.

Does the 740 accept pitot and static inputs from an iLevil 3 AW?

No, but the Trio does.

The 740 will drive an autopilot, there is no "Repacment" for the 740 but there is a new unit coming out next week ;) Shhhhh.

It will be designated the 740b. It has all the same features as the 740 but slightly less bright with an 1100 nit screen vs a 1300 nit screen. The major difference in brightness really comes from the tone. The 740b has a slightly "cooler" tone and the 740 has a "warmer" tone to it. The 740b will come out of the gate at $499 for the holidays.
