I just received my ifly today and am having trouble downloading the updates. I have downloaded to my flash drive and when loading to my gps I keep getting this message: Unable to process update. Please try re-downloading the update package. If the problem continues contact Adventure Pilot support. Error: CRC mismatch. I have tried 3 times without success. Any ideas?

I tried again and it worked.

Yes, I had the same problem when I first got my iFly about two weeks ago. I was trying to update my GPS using the utility within the program and got the same message as you. On the third or fourth attemp I plug my memory stick into the GPS before powering it up. It updated upon power up. I haven't had any problems updating the unit since. - Jim W.

We have found that USB Sticks formatted as FAT or FAT16 work much better in the iFly. Check your stick...if it's FAT32, try reformatting it and see if you have more consistent behavior.

Thanks!

Walter - I just checked my thumb drive and sure enough it is formated to FAT32. The only other format option I have (my OS is Windows XP) is exFAT. Is that the same as FAT? Should I try formating it to exFAT? - Thanks, Jim Williams
