I've reported this at least once, perhaps more. On my 740 it doesn't happen every time, it's more of a random event. But, like yours it simply shuts off. No "Good Bye", no "The unit will shut down in X seconds". I can then plug it back in, let it establish, unplug it, and the shutdown warning will likely come up.

My 740 also shuts off immediately, despite having just replaced the internal battery and the internal battery shows a full charge.

My 740 has been doing this for a while also. Could be just a feature. :)

This defeats the purpose of the internal battery that keeps the iFly running when you lose the main power.

The iFly 740 should not be immediately shutting off when power is removed. Please contact our support team at 888-200-5129 and we can do some troubleshooting to check the firmware, battery, software and it may need to be sent in to use for deeper testing or possible battery replacement.

One test is, with a fully charged battery, turn the screen brightness down one or two notches and then remove the power. If it stsys on for the countdown, then we are most likely looking at a weak battery cell. The 1200 nit screen draws a lot during the transistion. Also, keep in mind that if the unit is substantially discharged, it will likely turn off unitl the battery has a enough charge on it.

Additionally, if it is fully charged and it unplugged and stays one, but then immediately is unplugged again, it may turn off as it may not have had enough time to recover from the first power off cycle.
