I have a 740 and Navworx ADS600B UAT. I have done several flights and traffic information is not showing up. Today I flew into a Class C airport and didn't get one traffic alert the whole flight. On the ADS-B status on the iFly the said it received almost 300 traffic targets but none shown?

Do I have my settings off somehow? Distance set to 20miles, altitude +- 7500 and moderate alerts?

Thanks,
Mike

Michael,

Is there any chance you could perform an ADS-B logger and send that to us? Simple set everything up, then un the Menu - About - Connected Devices section, please Select Wireless Device and "Enable ADS-B Logger". Then close that form. Let it gather some ADS-B data, preferable in-flight, and then go back in and un-check that ADS-B logger option.

Once you've completed that, then please put the SD card into your PC and right-click the User folder and use the Send To option for Compressed Zip File. Send an email to support@adventurepilot.com with that User.zip file. We'll take a detailed look at it and see if there is a disconnect between the 740 and your NavWorx.

On thing to look at before your do this is to make sure the Traffic, NexRad and Metar/TAFs is selected in the Map Mode list. If these are not checked, they will be filtered and not shown on the screen. Please report back to your support team at 888-200-5129, or at the above support email.

Shane,

Yes I can do a log for you. My home airport is in a ADS-B dead spot no reception until I reach about 8K, but I can connect it to the navworx and do a log for you. I'll try to remember the next time I fly out of here into reception range to do another log.

Forgot to mention it but I have gotten some traffic show up. A few weeks ago I got a target but it showed up after ATC advised of their position and they were within about 3 miles of me before they popped up on the iFly.

Today when I was climbing out on my flight I got a couple traffic alerts from me it was ghosting. I chalked that up to coming in and out of ADS-B coverage as I was climbing. Once I got up to a good altitude and closer to the ADS-B stations that went away.

I looked on the ADS-B status screen and I was receiving 2-3 towers the whole time but no traffic displayed. I do get good weather updates.

Going into and out of the Class C today I didn't get a single traffic alert show up and it was not painting the other aircraft on the screen.

My ADS-B report from the FAA came back good for what that is worth to you?

Thank you for your time and quick reply!!

Mike

Set it on unlimited distance and altitude and strict alerts and see what shows up.

Michael,

I too have a 740 but I'm ADS-B IN only; no OUT. Try changing your settings to Alert Thresholds (Strict), Distance Visibility (Unlimited), and Altitude Visibility (Unlimited) for a few flights while you're shaking it down. That should let you see airliners above you and all other OUT traffic you pick up directly, even when your not picking up towers. Even without OUT, I've been over southern Mississippi and picked up aircraft over Atlanta. Even though your NavWorx "saw" 300 traffic hits, they could've all been outside your 20 mile/7,500 ft radius (airliners, corporate jets, etc). And it's a longshot, but the 3 mile traffic could've just turned on their transponder when they checked in with ATC for flight following. With the settings at Unlimited, you should start seeing traffic as you taxi out to the runway, assuming the NavWorx antenna can see them. Good luck!
