I reieved my new GPS unit yesterday and have been trying to update it using ifly connect. I've tried doing a software update first, then tried downloading and installing all updates via sd card. Each time, the "Checking SD card" message comes up, and then the message "Unable to access the ifly servers. Please confirm you are properly attached to the internet, or try again later." It is my understanding that the 520 does not have wifi capabilities, and can only be updated by sd card. Could really use some help here.

Michael, try downloading IFly Connect from the site, to your PC, then it is just a question of clicking the IFly connect icon on your desktop after putting the SD card/ adaptor in a USB port of course, and do a download, it is very simple

Does the error message also say something about the card being write protected?

I have downloaded the ifly connect to my computer and downloaded the updates to my sd card. I insert the card back into the gps and select update, and that is when I get the messages I referred to in the previous post on the 520. It has seemed to have updated the sectionals. At least I no longer get the out of date messages when I select the gps option.
