Is there any write up on how to hook up my iFly 720s to the ranger unit via WiFi using the ranger's WiFi module? Also how do you set trafic threat allerts?

I have the ranger wifi connected and it is showing great strength and connected but has a (Pre) shown under the connection. What does this mean also no weather or traffic being shown? is there a selection to receive this info other than the normal setting preference? If I use the freefight app on ipad everything is good so wondering if this is a communication error between the units. I fly with 2 iFly 720s.

I assume that the PRE means it has a connection, also has had a previous connection to said unit, and will connect again.

<PRE> means that wifi is pre-configured to automatically connect. So anytime that network is found, the iFly will connect to it.

The only other thing you need to do to setup your connection to FreeFlight (or any other ADSB device) is to tell the iFly software what kind of device it should be listening for. Do this by touching Menu / About / Connected Devices / WiFi Device, and select it from the list.

That did it I now have data. I also see only text box for traffic not on map but will adjust visibility out as instructed on another post. Great service for my five years of ownership and counting. THX!!
