I am having trouble as well. I now have v 9 loaded. The menu button on the lower left doesn't illuminate or function without offering information for a lat long as if the button isn't even there. After many attempts to get to the calibration screen, it just constantly moves the bulls eye around as I touch to calibrate with no termination of any sort. I went around the screen 5 times with no offer to terminate the calibration process. I then unplugged and tried again. No joy. Very fustrating.

Also only have IFR Low or VFR charts when I am panned way out. If I go in close, (under 129 miles) the map goes back to Vectors.
