I have added an iLevil SW to the panel and partnered it with an iFly 720. I now have the artifical horizon on the iFly Instrument Panel and I have added an artifical horizon of one of my GPS screens. In both cases, I see the following behavior:

When entering steep turns, I get a separate window on the right side of the screen containing the artificial horizon along with a Mute/Un-Mute button. The window will appear for several seconds, then go away. Changing the Mute setting has no apparent effect.

What causes this behavior and how do I control it?

On a related subject, is there more documentation on the artitical horizon instrument within the iFly? The primary user manual doesn't say much other than a AHRS device is needed to enable it.

Bruce,

That is our SAFR, Safe Attitude Flight Recovery feature. If you touch the AH you can set the AHRS thresholds. It can also be set under the Alerts and Warnings menu too. It basically pops up the temp AH when you pitch or roll beyond your set thresholds.

When end you touch the AH you can access the AH settings to recalibrate to level, set thresholds and more. I hope this helps. We'll have a new owners manual out shortly to help address this as well.

Regarding the pop-up feature of the artifical horizon. It would be nice if when the instrument is already present on the screen, it did not pop up. It is distracting and blocks other useful information.
