Is there a driver available that allows the iLevil SW to work with the iFly700 via the USB cable? The iLevil SW does not have a DB9 serial port, just a USB port.

Bruce,

Actually, you really only need a Mini Jack to Serial plug and then our USB-to-Serial cable. The SW has a small headphone looking jack on it next to the power button, it is actually a db-9 serial out via the miniJack. This is what you need. No drivers neccessary with this serial connection.

From iLevil:
Mini Jack to Serial Adapter
From iFly GPS:
USB-to-Serial Adapter
With these two adapters you will be able to connect the iLevil SW to your 700 and benefit from ADS-B Weather, Traffic and AHRS, all via a corded connection. We've tested this internally and it works like a charm. Just contact us to order the USB-Serial Cable.
Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions or concerns and have a great week.

Thanks for the quick response. Would an audio mini-jack to USB cable would do the job (and elimnate one cable)? A cable like this one:

Bruce,

Sorry, that would not work as it needs to have the Serial Chipset converter built into it. I suspect that the newegg cable does not that a Serial to USB converter built into it.

For it to work correctly, you'll need both cables, the Audio to Serial and the Serial to USB, there is just no way around it that I know of. I hope this helps.
