Correct, nice catch. My bad... Yes, it would be really short at slower speeds.

I was just thinking prior to typing that a fixed distance line when zoomed in on a taxi diagram would be represented very long and that somehow made it into my reply. Sorry for the confusion.

Just another thought on this - might it be possible to somehow show a one minute mark on the the existing ownship track line? Perhaps do this only when airborne?

It would seem having that indication would be helpful when analyzing crossing traffic.

Dick,

Agree. It believe you will see a new Traffic Instrument or Mode that will have a high-contract traffic view in a near release. I believe Walter decided to include a 60 second projection line for your ownship on that instrument / view.

This is still in the works, but I think you'll like what you see. It allows to keep that Map mode track line and Traffic track line unique and separated while allowing you to quickluy analyze that crossing or near traffic. I hope tihs helps and have a great weekend.
