I have two quick questions, but a little background first:

I normally fly with a Garmin using the XM weather type view (click link to see what I am talking about -sc-03-mg.jpg) and I normally use a view 2 sm to 20 sm depending on how crowded the airpspace is.

1. Is a view like this an option with the iFly 720 or do I only have the sectional view? ( I like to reference my postion with lakes, roads, etc and it is less cluttered then the sectional view)

2. When using the sectional view, what level of zoom do y'all normally use?

Thanks!

The iFly has a de-cluttered view called Vector mode that is somewhat comparable to your included photo. It's a very plain display with major water features, and I think major roads, shown--but there are no labels. The predominant features are airports, which are labeled with their 3-letter identifiiers.

In addition to sectional charts and the vector view I described, if you have the IFR subscription then you also have IFR low- or high-altitude charts available.

When I'm using the sectional view, I zoom in and out as required to get the level of detail I want. I never pay attention to what zoom level number I'm on...I just zoom in and out until I see what I care about at that moment.

For VFR flight I switch between Terminal, Sectional, and WAC charts depending on the mode of flight I am in. It was a great addition a couple of years ago to add WAC.
