Are you certain the answer is "no"?
I was under the impression that the serial number is only needed for the iFly Streets application - it is tied to the original unit that it was purchased with. However, I suspect you can move the memory card to a different machine if you don't need iFly Streets. The other part needed for answering the questions is whether or not the executable files work between the different models. Again, I suspect the answer might be yes, but I have not tried it.
