Toss it.

Here is the final decision on this: For version 4 we're gonna "toss" toss scrolling. In a future release we may make it a configurable option. We will need to add some significant intelligence to the toss-scrolling logic to really make it work well on the device, just don't have time to get that done for the next version.

Harlan, I know it would be more intuitive to hold the button down until you reach your destination. But this is not possible with the remote - unlike a normal keyboard, the remote sends a signal only when a button is initially pushed, there is no way to detect that the button was released.

I'll put some thought into how this can be improved.
