Thanks for the pirep - looks like one is in my future. I might use the old Garmin Glo via bluetooth for the gps input.

Question for the Tripletek users... will this unit running IFLY drive an auto pilot through it's serial output?

This is my question as well. I'd like to think the NMEA output thru the USB wires are a function of the iFly software, but maybe it's controlled by the hardware?

Question for AP on this - Is the NMEA output code in the Android build and/or has it been tested with however ports work on Android?

android doesn't have nmea output natively, you have to go thru a 3rd party like the Levil3

Of course they don't but The question was whether the iFly GPS code running on Android does. I.e. if ifly gps was running on a Tripltek tablet would iFly GPS genertate NMEA sentences and allow them to be output via wired USB to serial converter to drive an autopilot. So with apologies for the repeat but while we agree that Android O/S itself does not natively output NMEA, the question remains - does the iFly GPS code/program running on Android produce NMEA output sentences.

Thanks.
