Prior to the version with SKETCH, I ran IFLY on both tablets with no panning issues.

Just downloaded Google Earth. Even in 3D these maps can be panned with no issues. Nice and smooth.

Still searching for a solution.

Moved all IFLY data from SD card to internal memory with 2.9 GB free on my tablet. This had no effect on the pan jerkiness.

Copy.  Thanks for checking...that's probably a good data point for Brian.

I would not try to run iFly from an SD Card.

Yet lots of other people do.  I've been storing iFly data on SD cards when I have the option since way back.  Plenty of Android devices have a practical need to utilize SD cards to store the magnitude of data that iFly can require, and iFly supports that.

It seems some users have ruled out the SD card. That pretty much narrows it down to processor or RAM. That's my guess. I think there are ways to work around this that Brian will figure out. On the other hand, as iFly GPS becomes more and more complex and we add features and automated this and that, it may well become evident that iFly will not run smoothly on very inexpensive devices with limited resources.
