Just recently got a Stratux. Used it yesterday with no issues seeing ADS-B type traffic. Then today I tried to connect up and I keep getting device not connecting from the iFly app. I'm connected to the WiFi and I can view traffic via the Stratux web browser.  I just completed a software update to the stratux so that I'm using V1.4r3. Was at V1.4r2. Any suggestions?

Figured out the issue. My android was in power saving mode. As soon as I disabled this, the stratux connected right up instantly via the apps. I ran into this same problem with Android Auto. something to do with the app power being reduced causes network or usb limitations while in power saving mode.

Different devices can have their own version of what "power saving mode" means, but it can be very severe in the services that it cuts out to maximize battery life.  On my Samsung phone, for instance, it changes screen resolution, color depth, and even prohibits use of many apps on the phone, while also turning off the Bluetooth and wifi radios.

It is likely that power saving mode turned off your wifi radio.

If you use power saving mode frequently, you might want to check to see if you can turn wifi back on while you're in that mode. (That will, of course, reduce your power savings!)
