The Amazon "Basic" (in-house brand name, I guess) USB cables are inexpensive while being high quality.  I got several of them at one time and they all pass at least up to 2.5 amps reliably.  I use them for powering my stratux'es.  Being an unofficial stratux tester and developer, I have to have more than one.  :)

Also, be sure your airplanes cigar lighter (if you're using that) has a minimum of 3 amps output.  Same for direct-wire of the airplane's power supply.

note: I'm not having much luck with the 12vdc cigar agapters, even the ones from Anker.  They supply ehough power all right, but the USB connecter gets "wallowed out" over time and will randomly lose power connection.  Best to go straight wire if you can, or replace the cigar adapter as soon as the USB cable doesn't fit in tightly anymore.

Skypuppy,

Many thanks! I bought a cigarette lighter adaptor from Verizon and so far, so good!

Here is a photo of a ADSB tower I took on my last flight - seems to like that particular cord and no worries about the battery running out on my all-day flights!

Will keep you posted on any issues I might have...

Regards, Mike Marra
