Using a stratux to feed 2 simultaneous tablets running iFly (my primary and backup.)

I am positive the GPS on the startux is WAAS capable and it is seeing the WAAS sats. I recall a "screen" that showed not only "GPS" when there is no WAAS, but "GPS WAAS" when there is. 9.8.4 is only showing the "GPS" string in the little window. Is this a change or is eomething wrong? The "GPS" little window is the same on both tablets.

Btw, I *like* the new "autodetect" for ADS-B IN devices.

The Stratux I have listed on Ebay is showing ADS-B as the GPS Status on both my iPad and iPhone. It definitely has a WAAS GPS attached. I don't remember if that changes when in the air or not.

Skypuppy you are correct that iFly does not show a WAAS lock for Stratux (it never has) like it does for other ADS-B's. This has been reported a few times and hopefully is making it up the list to be corrected.

The standard position data we get from any ADS-B device does not include details about the signal strength. This data just isn't part of the GDL-90 protocol - so there is no standard way of getting this info.

Many devices include a message that has device-specific information, including details about the GPS signal. But every device is different. Stratux originally didn't include this data, so when we added Stratux support it didn't include signal strength or wass info. But the latest firmware has this, so it's on our todo list to get it parsed.

Thanks,
Walter

And don't even get me started about the RAIM and other superfluous madness.
