For Android's that have a USB connection, can iFly output flight plan GPS data to an autopilot - like the 740 can? (Assuming the proper cable.) If so, would iFly output the appropriate (software selectable) NMEA strings (at 4800 or 9600 baud) or would iFly output navair data (at 100kbaud?)

I'm envisioning wAAS GPS data from stratux, coming into the Android running lFly, and iFly controlling the autopilot, all in real-time.

If not, we can output GPS data from the stratux directly into the autopilot but not sure how we'd get the flight plan from the iFly into the stratux.

Thanks.

You cannot use an iPad or Android device to drive an autopilot.

From the FAQ page (www.iflygps.com/FAQ.aspx):

Will the iFly drive my Autopilot, EFIS or other device?

Yes. Providing your Autopilot or EFIS supports the digital NMEA standard*. You will need a USB to Serial (RS-232) cable offered in our store. Connection details: Pin 3 is the Data Transmit and Pin 5 is the Ground.

*NMEA output is supported on the iFly 520, 700, 720 and new iFly 740.

I drive my autopilot with a 740. It is flawless, and very simple to connect.
