Please duplicate this issue, and then do "Menu => About => Send Bug Report..." so that I can see the log.

When this happens are you near the hangar, or up in the air? One thing that can cause this issue is if your Samsung sees an "internet connected Wifi" and switches over to it to do the Internet-based Weather downloads. If this is the issue, try this solution:

Menu => Setup => Attempt internet weather download while in flight (make sure it's unchecked)


Also, if you have a 4G wireless hotspot, etc, in your cockpit, make sure your Samsung tablet isn't trying to connect to it.

Question: When it stops working, if you go to Android Settings -> Wifi, what does the connection info show?

Just installed Free Flight Systems FDL978XVRL (wifi, in/out, internal GPS with Garmin GA35 WAAS antenna), and Control Head with system on/off mini toggle switch and on/off mini toggle switch for anonymous N# when desired. On ground, picks up both towers at DIA 6 miles away no problems and occasionally ground aircraft emitting ADS-B data. Have yet to fly for pattern testing due to weather. 978 box acquires GPS sats very quickly in hanger with door open and wifi box transmits strongly rather quickly as well. There is a small delay in weather updates from towers, but expect that to hasten once in air. I will update my website www.joespiper.com with installation, parts and signoff sometime in February and keep the forum posted of flight tests. Free Flight is eager as well. Hint: if owners are worried about cost, save money by finding a field IA that will work with you on installation. The hardest part is building the cable harness, everything else is gravy. Remember, there are distinct advantages of having 978 over 1090 for small aircraft.
