I moved the iFly app to the card on Nook HD+ running KK 4.3. I use a free app called Link2SD. (You have to use Linux to add a an ext4 partition to your SD card for the app to work.)

I haven't tried it on my Asus running LP 5.0, 'cause that tablet has 32 GB of RAM. I expect it would work. BUT - when I wanted to put the chart data on the SD card on the Asus, I had to root and run a script that changed permissions for SD card writes. (Something about google locking that down with Lollipop.) IIRC, the script was also available on Google Play.

This would be for your data only, not the app, obviously.
