My primary use of iFly on my Surface is for on-the-ground planning so I haven't hooked up an external GPS. I assume iFly will use the GPS of an external system, like Stratux or Skyguard. If so, you might want to focus on the network issue. The first ADS-B systems used port 43211 and I would guess Srratux uses it as well. 4000 may also be in play. AP could confirm the ports used by their supported systems. In the meantime, follow these instructions: http://amiduos.com/support/knowledge-base/article/network-ports-forwarding-in-amiduos.

After loading try:

Duosportforward add ifly1 UDP 43211 43211

duosportforward add ifly2 UDP 4000 4000

Thanks Dave. That might be above my pay grade. I do my flight planning on my iPad Mini. I really would like to get this Surface Pro working with a GPS and/or SkyGuard or Stratux. I would also like to be able to use Google Maps, etc. I'll take a look at this and see if I can figure it out.

Dave, you're a genius. We got it. It worked with the 4000 port forward. Both the Stratux and SkyGuard. I tried to take some screen shots, but they didn't work since I was in Android. I'll take a few pictures with my iPhone or iPad and post them.

My Stratux does a much better job of picking up the traffic, but it doesn't have a GPS. Of course, I don't need a GPS for armchair flying. I just like to watch all the traffic around Atlanta.

My SkyGuard works, including the GPS. However, in my family room, it doesn't pick up much traffic. It does work very well with my iPad (in flight), so I'll be anxious to try the Surface Pro 4 in flight with the SkyGuard.

Now, I still wish I could get the GPS working in Android because I would like to use it with Google Maps. If you find a solution for that, I would appreciate it. If I can't get the GPS working in Android, I'll just use some Windows based navigation programs in the car.

Jim
