Today Apple released iOS 8.4 with a fix for the external GPS devices
The location bug that has been affecting many of you with Garmin, Dual and Bad Elf GPS receivers is now in the past. You can force an update by touching Settings on your iOS device and then touch General and Software Update. Please make sure you have well over 50% battery remaining.
Also, if you do not see a GPS signal after the iOS 8.4 update, on your Apple device, please touch Setting -> Privacy -> Location Services and make sure iFly GPS is set to "Always". This should resolve the issue.
Bad Elf has informed us that they recently finished an initial round of testing and have given the all clear, "If you haven’t yet please update post haste!" Further, they "are determined to never let our users be affected by a bug of this nature again. Our testing protocol has become more intensive and we will be communicating our findings regarding compatibility with future iOS updates."
We are glad to bring this good news to our Apple users. If there is anything we can help you with, please reach out to support team, at support@adventurepilot.com. Thanks again for your business and support of the iFly GPS products.
iFly Safe,
The Adventure Pilot Team
