Hello. I've read here, searched the manual and cannot find, what I would consider would be one of the most used functions..."revers route". I have the 720 and drove 450 miles, and frequently used my own route to get to my destination. Now I want to reverse the route I took (like bread crumbs) and use what I drove (and not have this unit keep trying to tell me what course to take....uh...aggrivating) Maybe it's just me, and not used to GPS's, or maybe it's just how this unit works with street maps. The aviation portions is very nice and helpful. Someone please help on the reserve route issue. Leaving Monday morning to try this out. oct 15

Most auto GPSes don't really have a fixed "start point", just a destination. They will then give you directions from your current location (wherever that is), to your destination. This way if you take a detour you don't need to create a new route - it will automatically generate one for you. And also for this reason, there isn't a "reverse course".

If you want you can disable the GPS and use iFly Streets as a simple map, with no turn-by-turn directions. Touch Menu / My Route, then click the Flag icon on the "Current GPS Position" icon - this will prompt you to disable the GPS and enter a start point. Now it's sort of like using a paper map, your route won't change, and you won't be given any turn by turn directions.

Another alternative you might consider is creating "Favorites" - after you search for an address you are shown a map to confirm it looks correct, select the "more" button on the map, then select "Add to Favorites". Now next time you need to start a route, simply select that address from your favorites list.

Hope this helps.

I agree with Walter. I added one favorite that's always in the system: "Home". Then I look up the address of where I'm headed. It'll route me from where I am to that destination. When I get to that destination and I'm ready to go home, I just pick "Home" from my favorites.

"Home" can also be the local grocery store or neighborhood park or whatever. Once you're close to your neighborhood, you don't need street-by-street directions anymore.
