wifi  Modified By drmax on 9/2/2012 8:37:31 AM

hate to be such a newbie, but can't update. I've added the 720 to my wifi for house. it says "connected", yet when I back out to update, says can't find ifly server, and above that says not yet connected to internet. ok, so i go back into setting, and right away it shows a red x to my wifi network, but then it all of the sudden connects. i have not touched anything in IP settings as is set to address type of DHCP. There is nothing in IP info nor dns server as I figured this should all be auto configured. Please help. I unfort. do not have usb cord. (GOOD GRIEF) Yep, figuring out a flt plan for the 1st time, which is easy, other than the fact there are 2 sectionals out of date.....DM

ps. i do have (PRE) in front of my signal strength meter in the wifi settings, whatever this means.

Strange that your wifi firewall would cause a connection problem. You might call our support desk to help troubleshoot this. Also you could try using iFly Connect, if you have an SD card reader in your computer. http://ifly.adventurepilot.com/UPDATE...

Thanks,

I had a problem recently where the iFly would download 1 or 2 files (out of many), but no others. During most of its attempts a red box would pop up saying that the file download failed, yet it would keep trying from where ever it was (but would never successfully complete).

I know it was properly connecting because it would find the server, authenticate, download the file manifest, etc. One other weird thing that I noticed was that after a file download failure, the transfer rate would be reported as a negative number.

I managed to fix this problem with a single tap: I changed from WPA2 to WPA on the WiFi setup page for this network. I don't know why this worked, but I swear it is the ONLY thing that I changed.
