FWIW, I bought the $599 SkyRadar-L Single Band receiver last week to go with my 2 week old iFly 720. Easy install with the 720. Power up the SkyRadar unit. The 720 will see the WiFi. In the WiFi set up, tell the 720 to connect to it, and you're up and running.

I got to fly it a bit this weekend. In the Weather Window, when I zoom out, there is a big oval showing the NexRad Radar coverage area being displayed. In my case, the oval covered roughly half of the state of NM. Local METAR, TAF, and winds aloft data also shows as does the VFR/MVFR/IFR depictions for airports and the wind vector/speed on the airport. Overall, really good data at a glance. I would attach a screen shot with weather, but it was a beautiful day and there wasn't a thing to see on the NexRad radar. :o) Really nice unit for in Flight Weather with no subscription fees. Don't worry about buying the SkyRadar app and subscription as you don't need it with the iFly units.

Jon,

The iFly 700 will auto recognize the SkyRadar. I'd recommend getting both the iFly and SkyRadar up and running. Then just plug the S2 USB cable into the iFly 700 USB port and it should auto connect. Under the Mode, you should see Weather (ADS-B No Data). Keep in mind, you will typically need some altitude for the SkyRadar to start pulling in a signal. Once the data stream is coming through, you should see ADS-B No Data move to "ADS-B Live" Feel free to give us a call if this does not work for you.
