Jon just checking in to see if you recieved your unit yet and had a chance to try it out. I'm primarily trying to get weather on my iFly 700 but would get the traffic too if it was cheap enough.

Good news and bad news....

I live under the class b shelf of dfw between addison, love and dfw itself. Using the Radeena software and WingX on my ipad this thing works flawlessly and simple. I was impressed with P&P of the wifi connection. I'm watching weather AND seeing traffic about 2-5 planes at any givin time!

Bad news is the iFly doesn't see anything. When I select mode it shows "ADSB Connected, No Data". I've got to play with it a little I guess? If I get it working and get the devices in sync I'll post back and let you know.

Really cool thing is more then 1 device at a time can talk to this thing. I've got my ipad2 running wingx and my old ipad running radeena and they are in sync with the information displayed!

I'm sure I'll get an ipad one day but as for now just would like to be able to know the intensity of these summer time pop up showers. Sometimes the look ahead out the window looks pretty gray and as you get closer there will be a lighter spot that you can see through. But not always. Going to get my instrument rating this fall but still want some weather info.

Jon, that is unusual. You might want to contact our support team to discuss this. I presume you we're seeing this in the air?

No, this was all from the comfort of my living room:) I like to have everything all connected and working first before even taking it in the plane -> Fly first, everything else stays on the ground. I'm suspecting these were transmitted from the planes and not the ground station as I could physically see them. Nice living under the approach paths of three airports. I was not getting weather information on any device as I expected this requires being at 2000' or higher to receive from the ground stations.

I will have to call your support as now the ifly doesn't even see the skyradar. It's connecting wirelessly but doesn't show under mode anymore.
