I am attempting to feed serial data to a Display Unit from an iFly 740.

exactly what sentences / signals are in the feed flowing from the 740 in that single wire.

My 740 is getting weather, traffic and other data via WiFi from the Echo ASDB

Or a better question might be, What can I expect to see on my GRT Hx sceen from the 740 data signal into the DU serial port.

thanks

I got his from Brolin:--------------------

Great question....

We transmit data via pin 3, and ground out via pin 5.

We send out GPS data. I've never heard of an Echo feeding data to a 740b and then on to a different device... can you connect your efis to the echo via wifi?

Thanks,

Cary,

The NMEA sentences flowing from the 740's USB port are selectable in the 740 set-up.  My 720 works just fine receiving ADSB in data via wifi from my Stratux receiver and sending my selected NMEA sentences to my autopilot via the USB port to a converter (which iFly sells) The pins Brolin refers to are on the converter.  You may need your device connected to see the NMEA output set-up; I can't remember...

C177RG: iFly 720, Stratux 978/1090 ADS-B in, AHRS, BMP, Stratus ESG ADS-B out. RV-3: 8" Samsung Tab A, Stratux 978/1090 ADS-B in, AHRS, BMP, Stratus ESG ADS-B out.

Hey Cary -

You're not really going to have anything other than GPS data pushed out from our unit running NMEA. I'd suggest connecting your other devices via hardwire or wifi.
