if possible can the software allow for split screen for map and flight plan in the vertical orientation?

Good idea, make me a +1 on that request..

Way back when, right after EFIS was released, I did request that a general split-screen capability be developed so you could put whatever you wanted in the two halves. I may have brought that request up a couple of times since.

I know a good number have requested that. I first asked back when I got an original 700 with the round button icons to replace my Lowrance 2000 (Lowrance bailed from aviation). I loved the split screen options on the Lowrance. Map and Profile view was awesome for complex airspace. Two maps, one zoomed in on destination and the other still enroute was awesome for picturing my arrival and pattern entry. Would switch to that maybe 20 miles out from unfamiliar destinations. Etc. That thing even had an OBS mode for flying a radial. I absolutely love the iFly and all the functionality that's been added over the years. It's a powerhouse app for sure now, but I'd still love to see those two original wants. Still hopeful.

That is possible to do on a mobile device (like an iPad etc)

I'll pass it onto the guys to see if we can incorporate that into a new build for the 7 series

Care to share how, because as far as I have been able to figure out my iPhone only has the one split screen option / EFIS + map.
