And just to tie it all up with the rest of the arrows:

Cobra,

Wow, you did an amazing job of SHOWING and EXPLAINING the wind graphics used in iFly.

Unfortunately many iFly users will not have the benefit of seeing your explanations when they first attempt to interpret these wind arrows and their meanings.  AFTER seeing your explanations, all is likely to be painfully obvious to most iFly users.

The challenge here is that these #s and arrows will NOT be intuitively obvious to many first time users, thus they are likely to become frustrated and/or consume numerous Adventure Pilot resources learning how to use these wind-related depictions.  (What percentage of users actually reads user manuals?)

MAYBE a button like the runway button could be inserted strategically nearby that links to a window containing explanations like yours.  Once understood, the user could elect the option of making it invisible unless reactivated somewhere else.

I still believe Brian can improve this with some labeling and/or a legend, so pilots don't have to guess what they are looking at.

All you have to remember is the arrow is the wind direction "on Final"

Thanks Cobra

Ciao

Great  visual Cobra.  I like it and the iFly quick view needs nothing!  Except for me to download the new software!   Doing it tomorrow.

Now on another subject: if you could provide an equal explanation of Synthetic Vision.  I never have been able to  grasp Synthetic Vision and what it offers above the regular nav or map view.  Just me I guess, but  I have never found a good application for it.
