I was curious to see if I could use my Windows laptop as I do my Android Tablet and phone.

Guess not since I couldn't get it to work.

You can try out a public beta version of the iFlyGPS software for Windows today.  Find it here:  http://www.iflygps.com/Windows

The next iFly software release will include significant new features compared to what is available in that public beta, and I believe the intent is for the Windows version of iFly to be formally released when that new update rolls out.  AP doesn't announce release dates in advance, but beta testing of the new version has been going on for several months, so they are well along the path...it's not vaporware.

Finally got my laptop to work with IFLY. Nice to see things on the big screen. However, big screen in a small plane is not feasible.
