I am presently using my iFly 740's USB port to transmit NMEA data to my fuel computer.  I am interested in the Ping ADS-B Receiver for iFly due to it's compact size.  However, I note it requires a USB connection.

  1. Is the USB connection simply for power, or is the PIng not wifi-enabled and needs the USB connection to transmit data to the iFly?
  2. If the USB connection IS required for data, can the iFly 740's single USB port be split with a splitter cable or hub so that I can continue to transmit NMEA data to my fuel computer AND receive data from the Ping ADS-B?

Thanks,

John

Support answered my question - the Ping needs the USB for data transmission, so they recommended I go with the Stratux since it utilizes wifi.
