This looks to be a promising breakthrough for very-low-budget pilots like me. (apologies if you guys already knew about this or if this was posted previously, as I could not find it)

The certified version coming out in Feb 2018.

This may just be the price break many of us need to be compliant. Otherwise, my plan was to just STAY OUT of adsb areas, regretabbly.

This one has the HUGE benefit of LOW PRICE and EASY INSTALLATION but meets ALL faa requirements. It's aleady available for experimentals -- now for certified aircraft next! The unique aspect is that it is (allegedly) as easy to install as a wingtip light! Check out the link above. If I can find photos later, I will post them here if folks are interested.

I am hoping it will work with IFly when the time comes!

We are an authorized uAvionix dealer, and have been working with their products since they first started out.  We started pre-selling the Sky Beacon a few days ago:

That is fantastic news, Walter!

Once it is cleared for "certified aircraft" I hope to be a customer!

I believe the target date for certification is Feb 2018...even with delays, we might be realistically hope for summer of 2018.  We will keep our fingers crossed with regard to FAA certification. The pressure is on to get more aircraft compliant - so I hope they are seeing this as a technological and economic solution to the backlog.

Thanks for agreeing to be a distributor and supporter - this is really great news IFly is teaming with this product.

Between the two great products (IFly and SkyBeacon) you have probably "changed the game" of ADSB-OUT equipping and compliance for certified aircraft.
