I need/want to connect the ping ads-b to my 740 as well as out put to my Dynon D180. I have the usb to serial adapter in place now for the D180. Do I need a usb multi connecter to add the Ping? Or something else?

We typically advise folks to use that port for just one purpose. We've had issues in the past trying to support a USB splitter, with one port being used for output and the other for input.

OK, how about using two usb to serial cords and feeding the ping output into the 740 input pin with the output pin going to the D180?

Just curious,  what info is the  740  or maybe Ping Buddy able to  communicate with  thru the Dynon 180.  I also have both (  atlthough 720)  and have not been  able to find many things that will communicate with the D180, it being rather  older electronics  by todays  standards.  Thanks

It is primarley for the nav. info on the D180. I had an old lowrance connected and it would show cross wind compenent.

other than that, not much.
