I hope you had a successful time at Sun N Fun despite the weather. Now that it is over, will you be publishing an updated user's manual for the latest version of the software soon?

Also wondering when to expect that the updated user manual will be available....

Sun 'n Fun was an interesting event this year. All things considered it was still a success. It was also nice to see all the iFly owners.

We are currently in the process of updating our owners manual. We hope to have this up on our site in the next week or so. We are bringing it up to date from the previous update as well. Thanks for your patience on this. As always, please feel free to call us at 1-888-200-5129 or email us if you have any questions or need assistance with your iFly 700.

In later March I asked if you maintained an owner email listing so that you can notify all when the new release is available? Also, will the IFly manual be updated at the time of the new release?

Walter responded, Yes, I do have an owner e-mail list - and I'll shoot an e-mail when v5 is ready to download. Was shooting for Friday, but we had another bug show up with the NMEA output. I may release today even with this open issue...everything else seems to be working great.

I didn’t receive an email when the V5 was made available but did see the release announcement on the forum. Might I recommend again that you use your owner email list to send notification of significant updates to iFly and changes to the user manual? You could provide an opt-out option for any owner who does not want to receive notification by email. I believe that this would save some owners time by not having to regularly log on to the forum and visually scan for this information.
Also, what’s the current projection for the V5 user manual update?
Thanks......

madmock,

Sorry you did not receive the e-mail. We did send out an announcement, but we've have had some issues with our mass-mailing solution and are considering replacing it. A lot of e-mails seem to get rejected out-right or marked as spam.

I have the 2nd draft of the latest iFly manual. Have a few more edits to make, then it will be released. So soon...probably this week.

Thanks!
Walter
