That is just a clear acrylic Pi 3 case. Had to make a couple of plexiglass tabs and glue on for antenna mount. The receivers actually get quite hot, so glad they are not in a case and can get good ambient ventilation around them.

I've been quite surprised by how many GA small aircraft already have in and out. Very near to KADS and see all kinds of traffic of the single engine class (and most all corporate) while I've got it running inside my house. Can also see traffic coming/going from KDAL as well. Lots of corporate and of course Southwest

If anything, I'll build a project box (similar to flightbox) but a fan and vents would be mandatory. Don't want to run fan off the Pi3. Separate 12v and a little larger fan, especially in the extreme heat and humidity we've had in N. TX. Those 2 receivers do really get almost burn your fingers hot. The processors run cool comparitively.

Hopefully we'll be done soon with opressive heat around here and will fly more.

Jeff Clark, or anyone else that knows.

You posted, in part, :

You can roll your own. Here's a link to the images:

https://github.com/cyoung/stratux/releases

And here's the page with the incremental updates:

https://github.com/cyoung/stratux/releases

I finally got my Stratux put together and am at the programming the Micro SD card stage. It appears to me that both of the links above are the same.

Next, on that page there's four files

Do all of those go on the MicroSD card, or just the first one. How do I apply the update? Or is this all explained somewhere else?

Sorry about the links, I must've had an Operator Headgap Error. I use a Windows pc, and here's the steps I use to create a new Stratux microSD card:

Download the .zip file. "Unzip" the .zip file, and copy the .img file that's inside it to your desktop. It's a pretty large file.

Use Win32DiskImager to write the .img file to the microSD card. Win32DiskImager is a free utility you can download from Filehippo.com or various other sites. Just be very careful that you are writing the image to the microSD card and not somewhere else, as you will lose anything that currently exists on the target drive.

When the image is written, and it takes several minutes, you can pop the microSD card into the Stratux Pi and power it up. At that point you have a fully functional Stratux.

Now that your Stratux is alive, it's easy to upgrade using only your tablet when new versions come out. Simply download the new .sh file onto your tablet (I use an Android), connect to your Stratux, and use a web browser (I use Chrome) to point to the Stratux webpage at 192.168.10.1. Find the Settings page, and tap the "Click to select System Update file". Then navigate to the update file on your tablet. When it's selected, tap the same box on the Stratux webpage to start the update process. Within a minute or so, you'll be updated.

The second link should've been updates.stratux.me/builds/
