Just FYI, when looking for a DC power cable for the RP2 and RP3, I'd recommend looking for 2.4 amps. I've powered on 1.0 amp and the GPS and second SDR dongle start to fade out. With a 2.1 amp, things are better but not completely, the GPS can take an extra long time to lock and hold. With 2.4amp or higher, the RP2 and RP3 seem to work smooth as butter. I'd recommend springing for a DC cord that supports 2.4+ amps.

Also, anyone trying to plug the Stratux into the USB of the iFly 700, 720 or 740, this will not work. The iFly USB port is a low power port and not designed as a power source.

Shane's recommendation is to buy a properly-rated cord, but perhaps the more important piece is to buy a USB cigarette lighter adapter rated for the higher current draws. Many of the "cheaper" (not necessarily less expensive) devices, especially older ones, will not support high power draws. (This is not necessarily a design fault, as the original USB spec called for a max draw of only 0.5A.)

I've had good luck with Aukey devices like this one: AUKEY 2.4A USB adapter

Thanks for the clarification. I was actually meaning Cord/Adapter combo. I know many have tried to use a 1.0A Cig Power Plug from their iPhone, Smartphone, but that will not be enough. Aukey makes a good one as does RAVPower and Anker.

As Cobra states, it's important that both the cable support higher rating of 2.1 or 2.4 amps, but also the USB or Power Plug adapter needs to be rated at at least 2.4 amps @ 5V.

Has anyone perfect the Stratux to work through a serial connection for the Ifly 700 yet?
