Also interested in this question. If WAC's are going away there won't be any Mexico coverage from now on . . . if I understand things correctly.

Lino,

No update to speak of on the South America charts. We are looking into some options for the WACs as they are slated to go away. We will keep them up for reference, potentially after they expire as an option. But we are also looking into our own charting data and other options. We'll relay more information as it becomes available. Please, keep an eye out on our newsletter.

Thanks, just keeping the eventually out of date WAC's available would be a very nice resource.

I think I'm reading that ONC charts are going the way of WAC charts so if that's true that option won't work.

Would be nice if iFly offered a world-wide aviation database. My old Lowrance 600C had one, got it from Jeppessen, something iFly could probably do as well. It sure would expand your market if you had it and for those who seldom or ever leave the U.S., they could just choose the North America database option. I wonder what GA pilots in South America use for navigators? Garmin's I guess. They have worldwide coverage available, probably from Jeppessen.

Mexico produces their own VFR topographical aviation charts. I've got a complete set of new ones and they are awful. It's a combination of color contrast, text and airport info that's practically unreadable. Poor catrographic execution. Whoever did it made a valiant effort but failed miserably. If digitized however, zooming these charts out just may make them a viable option.

Just some thoughts.

Yep, Walter talked with Jepp a while back and that didn't pan out, maybe due to their app or high costs. We'll possibly revisit it in the future. In the meantime, we are trying to find some better options to keep prices low. Stay tuned.
