I've posted here before about obnoxious noise in headset with battery being charged inline via cig plug. I've tried ferrite clips with notta help. Does anyone experience with issue besides me in this configuration? If not maybe my battery has always had an issue. I suppose I'll just run iFly directly to cig plug to dump the noise and have battery ready to be used in case of main pwr loss. Maybe this should be looked at as for an improvement by the powers that be. Nobody needs to be jacking around installing a battery inline, being distracted from flying. One of the reasons I went with iFly is for the dual power redundancy. The noise level is not acceptable. Any plz advise if you encounter this same issue. DM (not an engine noise. Was told it is an inherent property of the way the battery oscillates power )

Yes, I too have interference from the battery. The original cable I received (without a ferrite coil) was worse, but even the replacement (with the ferrite coil) can cause interference.

In my case the interference was highly dependent on placement of the cable. When I was using the 720 on the pilot's yoke in my Cherokee, I had to drape the cable off the glareshield and keep it away from the radio antenna leads running behind the pilot's side trim and into the panel near the left edge of the glareshield. Often I would have to reposition the lead during flight when interference crept back in.

Now that I am primarily flying with my Nexus 7 on the pilot's side, and have the 720 on the copilot's yoke with the battery and its power lead running on the right side of the glareshield away from the radios and the antenna leads, I do not have a problem with interference.

Would you like to work together on the problem off-line?

Strange when I key the mic or another person broadcasts on the radio, the noise is gone, but within seconds creeps back in to it's full annoyance.

I have the battery connected to the cig lighter socket for charging, and the iFly 720 connected to the battery and get no noise from the system. Perhaps it's because all the avionics wiring is behind the panel and the iFly wiring is in front? However, the headset wires are very close to the iFly wires.
