Has anyone removed the suction cup and fabricated some sort of device so it can be bolted to say, an aluminum plate, which then can be afixed to the framwork of cockpit? Let me know what you've come up with, if so. I'm tired of continually pick my gps off the floor of plane. It has a flat surface, but it just doesn't "suck" worth a darn.....so in reality it really does suck. Panel mounting is not an option. I need the flexibility of the arm, which I do like.

What I have done is use a spray bottle of water which will keep it attached for a couple of weeks.

Here's a link to previous forum discussion on the issue.

Good luck.
