Hello All:
Here is a simple trick to verify that the iFly is affecting the compass:
1 - Get a handheld compass.
2 - Place the compass on a wooden table .
3 - Place the iFly next to the compass.
If the compass deflects then there is some thing in the iFly that has enough ferrous mass to cause the problem.
Repeat the test with held battery pack - YES - The battery pack will cause a compass deflection because the batteries are encased in steel.
You can repeat this test with the iFly turned on. It may show a change in deflection.
Best to just keep it away from the compass.
OR you can re-SWING the compass and make a new compass correction card - BUT - I doubt if you will be able to do this easy.
