Hi, Neal,
Could you detail for us your set up with the ADS-600B? I've been really pleased with my iFly700 for the past year, using Radenna's SkyRadar-S device for ADS-B, and been generally pleased, but with an eye to upgrading to ADS-B out eventually. The Navworx transceiver is looking like a good choice, but I've got questions:
If I locate the ADS-600B on the rack aft of the baggage compartment, what connections will it need to be fully functional? Power, of course, and at lease one blade antenna on the belly, but will it also need a top-side gps antenna? Does it require a second blade antenna below?
With your iFly720, I'm presuming it gets its data from the ADS-600B by wifi. Is that correct? Would you know if I can link my iFly700 to the ADS-600B with a USB cable? (I've been hoping to hear of an upgrade to the 700 that would enable a wifi dongle to be used with it.)
I'm glad you're enjoying that set up. If you can answer those questions, I'm sure I'm not the only interested party on the subject.
Of course, anyone reading is welcome to contribute what they know, too!
Go iFly !
Elliott
