Just got 740 to replace 720. How do I get it to display vertically? On 720 I just turned it to vertical and it switched
Check Menu > Setup > Screen/Audio Settings and make sure "Lock Screen Orientation" is un-checked, then try rotating the screen. You may want to re-check that setting after changing the orientation if that's how you want it to remain.
Thanks. Will give it a try. One other question is the internal battery. Does it charge automatically when on plane power? How do I turn on to use internal power? I see the button do it rotate it or press in? Haven't been able to make it work so far.
Just push the button, and if the battery has enough charge the 740 will start up. But that battery isn't intended for regular use--just a short-term backup in case the airplane's electrical system goes pffft!
