I am having an issue with my 740 WAAS/GPS dropping out from the Stratux. Using an iPhone connected to the Stratux at the same time, only the 740 drops out every couple of minutes. Any suggestions to resolve this?

Yep - only have one device connected to the Ifly... DELETE all others! The 740 is easily confused and searches for additional connections.

Maybe I'm not interpreting your reply - subscription of devices does not impact this at all. One can use the 740 and iFly iOS device connected to the Statux simultaneously.  Either way, my 740 drops WAAS & GPS every couple of minutes even being the only device on. This issue just started back in August.

Edit: re-read your suggestion and take it as review the 740 WiFi devices and delete all others. I'll try that.

Jeff,

Are you still able to see ADSB traffic during those times that you are not able to see your own position and speed?  If so, there could be an issue with the Stratux?

Keep us posted with more information or symptoms.

Steve

I beleive this is was caused be me adding an addtional 10" USB extention on the Stratux extended GPS cable. After removing the extra extention and 1.8hrs flown - no drops. My thinking is the iOS device though connected WiFI to the Stratux for 1090/978 input may use its own internal GPS - just a thought as to why the 740 only dropped.

Thanks for your input.
